As a parent, I believe my words and actions mean something to my kids - they watch and learn from my example, so acting with integrity is critical.

As parents, we want what's best for our children. We want to protect them at all costs. We routinely make imperative statements to them and not explain why, other than "Because I said so." How well does this work?
